A Web solution for improving Information Flow.

Problem: A pharma company needed to synchronise Sales Forecast, Daily Production Figures and make them available to all the users.

Current Situation: All users maintained excel files and kept on synchronising data in Excel Files. This painful process kept all the users on their toes. Sales persons had to keep updating the sales forecast in the Excel sheet and keep sending the file to all users by email. Production users updated the Excel file with Production figures and Production Planning users were doing the same.

Solution: A Web solution was developed by Uptime Technologies. This info exchange system allowed all users to enter information asynchronoously and showed the information on the web site synchronously.

Uptime Technologies team interacted with users of various departments and did a user requirements gathering. The team kept the client informed of all the user requirements till the project was deployed.

Advantages: Reduced miscommunications and smooth flow of information helped quick decisions. Reduced costs in travel as the number of meetings required to synchronise data reduced to nearly zero.
